By looking at my price list you can see how much something is going to cost
per hour, but the question you're probably asking yourself is "How
many hours will it take?"
Here are some estimates:
The initial page of a site usually takes the longest, about 5 hours. After
that I use the initial page as a template and inner pages usually take 2
to 2.5 hours each.
Script installation and testing usually takes 2 to 3 hours.
Content Management System setup is harder to assess as it depends on which
modules and what customization is done, and can be anywhere from 4 to 10
hours.
Scanning takes five to ten minutes per image, but the manipulation of an
image can take anywhere from fifteen minutes to several hours depending on
what you want done to it.
A simple Flash animation with text and a couple of images takes 3 to 5
hours.
If your budget is tight I can work with you to develop
your website at a pace that makes sense for you. Maybe at first all you need
is one page. Then as you have more funds you can easily add other pages.
That’s
one of the beauties of a website - it can grow and change as your business
does.
